Black and White Stone, Sterling Silver Necklace

I'm unsure what this stone is, but it took a nice polish. The patterns are very abstract in blacks and white. The sterling has been textured and then oxidized and sanded to a satin finish.
The pendant hangs about 2-1/2" long and is 3/4" wide. The sterling chain is 18" long and finished with a sterling lobster clasp.
